If you’re feeling a little forlorn that summer is fading and the hurly burly of the season’s exciting shows has passed, then you’d be wrong. The RHS are hosting their annual Wisley Flower Show from Tuesday 6th Sept – Sunday 11th Sept.
It’s a wonderful celebration of all the plants and flowers that grace the late summer garden; grasses, dahlias, echinacea, rudbeckia. This year also promises to host the greatest number of exhibitors to date, with 55 nurseries attending.
There’s plenty to see in and around Wisley too, as entrance to the show is included in the cost of normal admission prices. The glasshouse borders are reaching their peak and the Bowes-Lyon rose borders are also full of fading charm.
At the show you can enjoy the displays of the National Dahlia Society Annual Show, or take-in the floral displays from the Surrey NAFAS group. The Surrey Sculpture Trail Society will also be curating a range of works in the garden throughout September.
