You’d be forgiven for thinking that all of this year’s garden shows were over and done with; that you’d have to resign yourself to ‘window shopping’ for plants in catalogues and at the local garden centre (which is lovely of course, but not as exciting as a proper ‘show’). But, you’d be wrong.
This year the RHS will host its first ever ‘London Urban Garden Show’ – a celebration and showcase for gardening on balconies and windowsills, in small spaces and in the home. In fact since many of us these days find ourselves faced with the desire to garden and grow plants, but not the space or (possibly) the time, this show demonstrates that everyone can grow something – even if it’s just one plant.
The event will be held at RHS Lindley hall, where tropical and exotic plant displays will greet visitors on arrival. There’s also a host of workshops that you can book onto including kokedama, caring for bromeliads and floristry.
For all the information you need to book tickets and find out more visit the web page here. The show runs from 10am – 5pm on the 12th and 13th November 2016 (with a preview event from 6pm – 10pm on the 11th – the Friday night). Best of all the tickets are £6.00 in advance or £9.00 on the day.
