Its arrived! The season when flower, plant and garden shows begin popping up all over the country almost weekly. There’s a palpable excitement amongst gardeners at this time of year, as new shoots start to appear, new plants go into the ground and the weather warms a little. But we all need some inspiration to get the season going, so a visit to a flower or plant show is just what’s needed to find it.
Loseley Park hosts a number of home and garden events throughout the year, but what’s special about the Spring Garden Show is that visitors get the first preview of the new planting, as the house and garden don’t open until May 1st. Loseley has some really special spaces, including a white garden, walled garden, organic vegetable and rose gardens, all set off against the romantic backdrop of the 16th century house.
The Spring Garden Show will host a number of stalls including plants, home and garden furniture and eqipment as well as food stalls so you can grab a bite to eat on the way round.
Tickets cost £3.50 per adult and concessions cost £3.00, while under 16’s go free, making it a very affordable family day out. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted inside the walled garden, where the event is hosted.
The garden is open 10am – 5pm on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd April and from 10am – 4pm on Sunday 23rd April.
